This new stage in Swansea adds to the impressive portfolio of Aberrant Architecture’s public design work. The design inhabits a space between public art and architecture, the stage was commissioned for the Swansea Boulevard and Waterfront Connections Art Programme. The stage is unregulated and can therefore be used by the public for all purposes, including shops, theatre and music performances. The stainless steel structure features copper coins, designed in collaboration with the community, that reference the history of the area as a copper trading route.
