The first film shows a svaberg – an important concept and reference point for the practice. Lovely to have the chance to shoot some natural scenery but through an architectural lens.
The second is at the uber cool bar / restaurant Haakon. Located in central Oslo, at the headquarters of property experts Braathen Eiendom in a beautiful 1950s building, the architects created discernible zones, timeless in nature, and flexible in function, reflecting their multiple roles as bar, restaurant and private function. Materials are designed to work in harmony with the existing structure, and consist of sanded concrete, black steel, and walnut and brass details.
The third film was from a stunning flat in the centre of Oslo, a joy to shoot as the music was jazzy and the coffee was fine. The design features stunning bespoke timber joinery and some amazing artworks. The flat was filled with light – quite a feat on a dark autumnal day.
