Architectural photography of the Cairngorms National Park Authority (CNPA)

The blog of Simon Kennedy, Architectural Photographer based in London.

The new building created by London- and Crathie- based practice Moxon Architects gives the CNPA a new public face, containing reception areas, meeting rooms and offices. The building is low, avoiding clashes with the architecture of the beautiful local historical buildings, seeking instead to blend in with its environment. Built from sustainably certified cross-laminated timber, the design employs sophisticated procedural software techniques in its design, featuring contrasting areas of solid and void which can be reconfigured using large moveable partitions.
