Architectural Photography of Ayios Sozomenos, close to Nicosia, Cyprus.
This village was destroyed during the Turkish-Cypriot/Greek-Cypriot conflicts during the 1960’s that lead to the partitioning of the island. A very strange, affecting and eerie place, if interested you can read the Time magazine report of this battle here:
I have photographed here a number of times. It is as beautiful as it is unsettling.
I used a large format camera, the Toyo VX125b, Rodenstock 135mm f 5.6 Apo-Sironar-S, Schneider 72mm f/5.6 Super-Angulon XL lenses. Film was Fuji Pro 160NS.
