Here is the video I created to showcase this, the first structure to be built in what will be an enormous development by Argent Related known as Brent Cross South.
A visitor centre, the pavilion will showcase the intentions for the new development as envisaged by Barnet Council and Argent, and acts as a lovely, warm welcome to the project.
The building has public and private workspaces, can host events and exhibitions, and contains a café, all as ways of engaging local residents with the future development.
It is a highly sustainable structure, designed for long term durability and flexibility of use, using the fascinating principles of the circular economy (that I first encountered shooting for @arupgroup with their “Circle Building”) – including prefabrication, and incorporating recycled waste materials.
It’s a @moxonarchitects building, and so it also looks incredible, with their usual great taste in industrial/minimalist aesthetics.
