Here is the new entrance to Westminster Abbey by Ptolemy Dean Architects (the Abbey’s Surveyor of the Fabric).
The scheme represents the first changes to the Great West Door entrance area in 25 years. Providing bench seating and level access to the Innocent Victim’s Memorial, the landscape architecture is highly functional and very beautiful.
A privilege, as always, to shoot at this historic location, and great fun to see the many ways the new entrance is used by the visitors.
Beautifully constructed by Daedalus Conservation, structural engineering is by Cobb and Co, QS by Sawyer and Fisher.
