Architectural photography of Jaguar Land Rover Facility in Wolverhampton, by Arup Associates, London

The blog of Simon Kennedy, Architectural Photographer based in London.

A new car manufacturing facility for Jaguar Land Rover, featuring saw tooth sections that allow large quantities of north lighting into the fabrication floors, situated on a brownfield site near Wolverhampton. The facility gives 185,000 sqm of space, including office accommodation, production floors and a community education facility. The design is modular, based on a 30m grid, the large spans allowing for flexibility as required for long run production lines. Glass is used both to bring in light and to create connections to the surrounding landscape. The building features the UK’s largest photovoltaic cell array.
