This new pier structure in London Blackfriars was completed by London-based Arup Associates Architects, and replaces the previous pier in this location that was moved to make way for the Thames Tideway Tunnel. Featuring amazing views over the Thames towards Tate Modern, the pier allows accessibility and more space for the River Bus passengers. The scheme considers carefully the numerous technical requirements of a pier including tidal fluctuation and daily collisions with boats, and provides an enhanced experience for users with uninterrupted views and clear, logical layout.
