The blog of Simon Kennedy, Architectural Photographer based in London.
Completed by London-based practice PLP Architects, this project was photographed for Josef Gartner/Permasteelisa Group. This significant tower has a design that aims to further the individual users well-being, with high levels of daylight and fresh air, and 100,00sf of amenities that are designed to improve the daily experience of both its 12,000 users and the public. The building features a food market, space for start-ups, a gym and a retreat and creates a striking geometric presence from the street. Glass installations by artist Alexander Beleshenko are located at the lower levels in canopies and fins. I was fortunate to photograph the interior and exterior of the building a number of times, as well as documenting the installation of some of the higher-level glazing boxes.
